Christian Songs for the Broken Hearted

Christian Songs for the Broken Hearted

We live in a broken world where we experience pain, hurt and suffering. Whether we like it or not, we will get hurt physically, emotionally or spiritually at times when we don’t expect it. No one likes to get hurt. No one likes to feel pain. But we have to live with it.

Perhaps, you might be in pain right now. Maybe, it is caused by the loss of a loved one. Maybe, you’ve just recently been in a relationship that’s going nowhere. Maybe, you’ve been betrayed by someone you trust. Maybe, you’ve been disappointed by someone else or by circumstances in your life. Or maybe, it’s because of sin. Whatever it is, being broken hearted is painful.

But you need not wallow in anguish forever. You need to rise up again. Rick Warren once said that,

Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days – when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when your out of options, when the pain is great – and you turn to God alone.

So, to help you go through pain, I have compiled the following Christian songs for the Brokenhearted. Listening to uplifting songs during brokenheart moments is good for the soul. I hope that you will find hope and rest in God through listening to these songs.

In closing, let the words of Psalm 34:17-19 comfort you:

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Thanks a lot! I am in the greatest pain of my life, I have a girlfriend, she wanted to broke up with me since last month because she wants to enjoy herself without having a boyfriend to worry about, and I really beg her to not leave me because I really can’t, she gave me a chance, but as days passed…. each day was as colder than before, she really doesn’t love me anymore, we will see each other on july 25,2015 to see if which one we would both agree to, break up or stay together, of course she really wants to break up but I want us to work it out, I want her to try to love me again. A prayer from you guys would help out a lot, I know God will help us make the right decision and so whichever it is, I know it’s God’s will.
