New Songs for Resurrection Sunday

New Songs for Resurrection Sunday

Today, we celebrate the glorious victory of Jesus’ resurrection from the grave!

When everything seems lost,  when the Savior they thought to be was dead, when hopes and dreams have died, something miraculous happened in the grave – Jesus defied and overcame death.

His resurrection offers as wondrous implications – we have forgiveness of sins, freedom from sin, power over the Devil and victory over death itself through Jesus’s Name because as the Scripture says,

“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

~ 1 Corinthians 15:5

As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday (or Easter Sunday), we give thanks to God through songs of praise and worship. I have compiled some of the newest Easter Sunday Songs from our top-rated Christian artists.

Shout Hosanna by Kristian Stanfill

Passion – Shout Hosanna (Lyrics And Chords/Live) ft. Kristian Stanfill

Kristian Stanfill has one of the powerful voices of worship of this day. And with “Shout Hosanna”, he never fails to give worshippers a new song to add to their repertoire of songs for Easter Sunday.

Risen by Covenant Worship

"Risen" from Covenant Worship (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)

“Risen” is an upbeat, modern praise production from Grammy Award-winner Israel Houghton  who voice blends well with  Covenant Worship leader Nicole Binion.

O Praise The Name (Anástasis) by Hillsong

O Praise The Name (Anástasis) – Hillsong Worship

Anastasis – the Greek word for resurrection, aptly used as title for Hillsong’s 2015 Easter Single. It powerfully depicts Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection for the salvation of many.

He Is Alive by Third Day

Third Day – He Is Alive

Third Day sung a beautiful melody for the glory of our Lord. Slow yet powerful, this song is a vintage Third Day vocal piece.

Hallelujah (Bride In White) by NewSong

"Hallelujah (Bride In White)" from Newsong (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO)

This song is a good choice for a fast-paced praise song because it can easily flow and can be easily sung by the congregation.

You can either use these songs as part of the church’s corporate worship or personal devotion with the Lord and certainly, not just on Easter Sunday but everyday that we could praise the Lord.
